Also, when you enroll on the General French Class, we send you another personalised level test, which your teacher use to design a tailor-made class in accordance with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
After your first enrolment in one of the Academy’s online classes, you will have the opportunity to make an individual appointment with Madame à Paname. She will also make sure that you are enrolled in the right group for you.
Where and how can I take my French lessons?
Our classes are 100% online. You take your lessons in the comfort of your own home and don’t waste time on transport!
We use Zoom as videoconferencing software.
To attend your class, log in to your personal online space and click on the button (it’s intuitive, you won’t get lost). If you have any doubts or questions, don’t worry, write to us, we’re here to guide you.
When do lessons start? How long do the lessons last?
Conversation and pronunciation classes
- 4 lessons of 1 hour 15 per session: 5 hours in total
- 1 session lasts one month (4 weeks)

General French Class
- 2 lessons of 1:30 per week for 12 weeks (3 months)
- There are 3 sessions per year
Private lessons
- You can start whenever you like

- Every time you sign up for a group class, you’ll have access to the weekly workshop, so you can practice even more!
- You can book a one-to-one meeting with Madame à Paname when you first enroll (about 15 minutes on Zoom) to set your goals in French!

All the teachers in our Academy are native French speakers, qualified and experienced in teaching French as foreign language.

The teachers who prepare students for the DELF and DALF exams are also qualified to correct the examinations. Yes, they are official examiners and you will be prepared for your exam in the best possible conditions!

What happens if I miss a class?
Group lessons
Group lessons take place even if one of the students is absent. It cannot be refunded.
Don’t worry, you have access to the video replay of the class, as well as the notes and documents used.
Private lessons
You can cancel or reschedule a lesson free of charge up to 24 hours before the start of the lesson. After this time, the lesson is due.
What is the ATELIER?
It is a bonus for our students!
If you enrol on group classes, you are entitled to an exceptional BONUS: 4 hours of Atelier PLUS your group classes!
L’Atelier is a virtual room open for our students from all groups. Every Friday evening, from 19:00 to 20:00 (Paris time), you meet other students of l’Academie de Madame à Paname to discuss a chosen subject.
You receive the PDF sheet with the topic and questions in advance if you want to be prepared.
A teacher is present, she creates small groups according to students level and gives you the topic and questions to discuss with the other members of your group. Afterwards, the teacher regularly visit your groups to answer your questions and guide you if necessary.
Access to l’Atelier is included when you enroll for a group class and is not mandatory. It is a bonus that I want to offer you to give you the opportunity to create links with people from all over the world and practice French conversation in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
What is the difference between l'Atelier and conversation classes?
The conversation class is a small group of 3 to 6 students. The teacher is there for you throughout the class, offering you personalised teaching, correction and guidance at all times.
L’Atelier is open to all students enrolled at l’Academie (not only in conversation classes). The teacher creates small groups at the beginning of each Atelier, and you practice on a semi-autonomous basis with the members of your group. The teacher is sure to visit your group regularly. It’s another opportunity to practice speaking French and meet people from all over the world!
Can I get a refund?
Yes, you can try out a class and see if it suits you!
Group classes
After payment, students can try out the class they have enrolled in. If, after the first lesson, they do not wish to continue, they can be reimbursed for the lessons not taken, by requesting a refund by email: contact@madameapaname.com
Private lessons
You are entitled to an initial free 15-minute lesson to meet your teacher and see if her methodology suits you!
After that, cancellations and refunds are possible up to 24 hours before the start of a lesson.
A lesson cancelled less than 24 hours before the start is due in its totality.
No lessons taken can be refunded.
